Did Someone Say Bombshell?

This October, our slowly fading but most beloved fashion show returns for its 3nd reboot. All the stars will be making an appearance like Alex Cosani, Anok Yai, and even still Adriana Lima? But this article wont focus on how Victoria’s Secret is two aging models away from being forgotten, but rather on whether this year will actually bring back the magic they emulated in the 2000s.

In 2024 we got slick backs. In 2025, the hair was down but flat. In 2026… what will we see? The budget must have flew away on the wings Mika Schnider was missing (hopefully taking miss petit Lila Moss with them), because for the past two years the best thing about this show has been the hype around it.

At what point do we consider the show old? Is seeing women in cheap lingerie considered not it yet. There is a reason Gisele Bündchen never wanted to show her butt on television. Let’s face it, the costumes aren’t what they used to be. When people dress up as an angel for Halloween this year are they wearing slick backs and tankini-looking bras? No. People yearn for the cheugy, colorful, and camp energy that we have been lacking.

Fundamentally, as a woman I should say it’s wrong to have women’s lingerie displayed on screen like that. But I won’t because the show encourages me to work out more and although I’m not buying their polyester pieces, I am looking for inspiration.
